I go to a small church out in the country, and honestly the music ministry might not exist without our family. My mom organizes the whole thing, and sings in the ladies’ group and as a soloist. She also teaches the kids, which includes teaching them songs and having them sing in front of the congregation. My brother does the sound system, and also plays guitar for the kids and my mom. I do the same with my guitar, but I also sing up front as a soloist or with my mom. I’m fine singing in a group, but I just don’t think I have a good enough voice to sing by myself. I mean, I can carry a tune in a bucket (mostly), but that’s about it. I don’t have much of a range of volume. But despite that, I volunteered myself to sing and play a solo on Christmas Eve. I didn’t want to at first, and wasn’t planning on it, but then I got to thinking. It’s a challenge; since I’m bad at it, I should get better. More importantly, the Bible says to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. It doesn’t say a perfect, beautiful, or impressive noise, but a joyful one. We (I) should want to praise Him out loud, and in this small church I have plenty of chances to do that. Maybe that’s why He put me here βΊ
Here’s a pic I took earlier today of my guitar.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. -Psalm 100:1, KJV
Thanks for reading! Have you ever done something you didn’t want to do, but were glad in the end? Comment below! God bless y’all, BBG
No matter how we think we sound, to God we are already beautiful, and we make beautiful noise to Him. π Something I’m working on as well.
You’re going to do amazing. Let your heart glorify Him in front of others. He is all that matters. β€
