Word of the Week | Power

My little brother Rowan suggested this word!

A necessary pre-cursor of any great spiritual awakening is a spirit of deep humiliation growing out of a consciousness of sin, and fresh revelation of the holiness and power and glory of God. – John R. Mott

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. – 2 Samuel 22:33, KJV

Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees. – Corrie Ten Boom

Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. – 1 Chronicles 29:11, KJV

  5. Wow, I loved Corrie ten Boom’s quote about having and keeping an appointment with the Lord. That is the only approach that has ever worked for me (a morning appointment), or the cares of the day take over and I neglect my time with him.

I think ‘Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees. – Corrie Ten Boom’ is an exceptional quote and one we should all remember ❤️
