Word of the Week – Prayer

Prayer is simply talking to God like a friend and should be the easiest thing we do each day. -Joyce Meyer

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. -Matthew 7:7-8, KJV

Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference. -Max Lucado

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: -1 John 5:14, KJV

I recently heard an awesome, moving message on how to pray by Jim Schettler. You can download and listen to it here! It certainly changed the way I pray. Thanks for reading! Next week’s “Word of the Week” will be holy, so if you have any suggestions for verses or quotes, please comment below! God bless y’all, BBG

  1. I can attest to the peace that surpasses all understanding. I have never been denied a request that goes along with His will for my life. When I first heard the term ‘pray without ceasing,” I thought, how in the world does one do that? Now I talk to Jesus and Abba all day long, day and night-I never want to feel the absence of God again. And we can achieve this through one simple thing: pouring our hearts and thoughts out to God. Well done girl!!!!
