Performing Christians

I perform better for an audience. I don’t know why. A lot of people get nervous in front of an audience and don’t do as well as they could, but it’s the opposite for me. I love having an audience! Once, toward the end of a solo class, my teacher had the girls from the next class using the studio come in and watch me. I danced my heart out and really put on a show, and my teacher said it was the best I had ever done on that dance. Some people (don’t get me wrong, I am guilty of this at times too) also put on a show as Christians. They become better Christians when they know someone is watching, and that should not be so. Because even if people aren’t always watching you, God is. He knows about you what you might not even know. We should strive to be good Christians always, not just when others are watching.

Although I have been dancing since 2010, these are all fairly recent pics ☺

Girl, you hit the nail on the head! We shouldn’t pretend or become better when others are watching. A very thought-provoking post!

  5. Well written @BibleBloggerGirl, I certainly can relate for about 12 years of my life I worked in a company who’s instruction was to smile and nod at everything, and even in our personal lives we would put on a performance, when I came to the Lord it was one of the first things he dealt with. Letting me know from Psalms 51; That He requires truth in the inward parts”, I think we take off our masks and be real with God, for our vulnerability we get relationship. Be Blessed.. Keep on Dancing!!
