A Spirit of Fear?

My older brother and I were invited to give a 4-H robotics demonstration at a local school! Tomorrow, we are going to talk to four different classes of 3rd graders, and in each one, talk for about fifteen minutes about 4-H, fifteen minutes about robotics and show them a few programs, and then teach them to build a basic robot. This is a great opportunity for us to help promote 4-H and also to build public speaking abilities. Now, honestly I am not a person to get nervous. I’m just not a worrier. But this got me a little scared. I have given plenty of speeches and such in my life, but this is different. I don’t know why it got me so worked up; I have to talk to a bunch of kids for half an hour, that’s all. But that doesn’t change the fact that I was kinda scared. But I said was, past tense. I prayed about it, and the Lord brought to mind the verse, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”(2 Timothy 1:7, KJV) That’s a pretty clear message, huh? I love it when He does that 😊

  4. How did it go? You’re probably done by now.
I love this verse, too. God is not the author of fear. His perfect love casts out fear. So we know where that was coming from. Good job resting in God’s Word!
