The Love of a Brother

Saturday is my older brother’s birthday! He will be 15. As he is only 18 months older than me, and we are homeschooled, you can imagine that we know each other pretty well. When we were really little, people would mistake us for twins, and we were together most of the time. When we got to be around the age of 10, though, we had some pretty bad fights. I guess it’s because we were developing our own personalities a lot by that time, and our personalities are polar opposites. So yeah, we had some knock-down-drag-out disagreements. Eventually we always worked it out, but we now aren’t nearly as close as we used to be. So as almost-14 and almost-15 year olds, we aren’t inseparable best buddies anymore, but sometimes still we will look at each other and know exactly what we are thinking; or tell a joke that only the other would understand. I am so glad God gave me an older brother. There’s no doubt that we love each other a lot now, and that will never change.
