Waiting

We do a lot of our shopping online. Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Craigslist, Wayfair – you name it, we have probably shopped on there. Some things are better about shopping online, like how you don’t have to go anywhere (which is especially good for us because we live in the country) but there are some downsides to online shopping. Like waiting. You wait until the auction ends, you wait for it to be processed, you wait until it is shipped, you wait until it arrives at a nearby store or your house. But the waiting is worth it, because usually there are better prices, more variety in products, more stock available, etc. Just as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. It’s the same way with the Lord. We might not know what His will for us is now, but if we stick to what He tells us, we will be rewarded. If we go off with our own plans that seem good now, things might not turn out so well.

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: -Romans 2:7, KJV

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. -Lamentations 3:25, KJV

Prefer in-store because I like to hold what I’m buying, but really I look for best price. God’s timing is always perfect.

  4. It depends what I’m buying. Books and toys are pretty safe to buy online, but shoes and clothes, I need to try them on.
