The First Snow

Technically, it wasn’t the first snow, but the first one that stuck, anyway ☺

This morning when I woke up, I saw the snow and knew I had to go get some pics! I headed out, still in my PJ’s, because I was afraid it would melt if I waited too long. God has created so many diverse seasons, and they are all beautiful in different ways! The woods especially looked spectacular, with each and every branch delicately dusted with the white stuff. So here are a few of my favorites from my session today! Hope you enjoy.

This is the newest row in our wood pile, so it’s shorter than the rest. I think the taller pile to its left adds some nice texture, though.

This one I’m not so sure about… I like the sunrise in the background, but maybe a different stick would be better in the foreground. I don’t know.

I don’t know if more snow on the ground would be better, or if the darker ground adds contrast. Although, the ice droplets do look pretty cool!

This is the best I could get Jessie to cooperate! She kept smelling something in the undergrowth 🐕❤

These next two are of the same branch (obviously) but they’re different photos and I edited them slightly differently. Let me know which you prefer in the comments!

I think this one leads the eye upwards nicely. I also love the contrasting dark bark and light snow.

This one has to be one of my top favorites from today! Even if it is just ice and dead grass 😂

Thanks for reading! Do you enjoy winter? Which picture was your favorite? Comment below! God bless y’all, BBG

Gorgeous pictures! I LOVE snow! Unfortunately where I live we don’t get snow very often so I live vicariously through everyone’s pictures where they are, lol.

So glad you took the time to take the photos! I love them. I think the picture without the sun looks better than with the sun, only because you see more of the branch details. I love them!
