These are some pics I took a little while ago today. ☺
Yesterday, due to the perfect fall weather outside, my dad declared that we should get off the devices and outdoors. After school, I headed out and did some work for him, then messed around with a ball for a bit. After a while, I quit that and went down into the woods. I hadn’t been there in a while, and it was so calm and still. Not like summer (my favorite season) when it’s all bursting with color and you hear noises from the birds and other animals, and the creek is rushing. Not like spring, either, when everything in coming out and growing, and the creek has overflowed due to rain. And not like winter, when it’s cold and the trees’ bark starkly contrasts the light snow, and the creek in frozen so we can “skate” (slide around like total klutzes) with our boots on. In the fall, the leaves make excellent crunching sounds on the ground, the creek is low and still, making nice reflections. Today, I got thinking about that, and I thought how through it all, the sky is still there. Still over everything. The seasons will continue to change, but the sky won’t. God is like the sky. He will always be there, no matter what season of life we are going through. He is our sky, never moving, always watching over us.
I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. -Hebrews 13:5b, KJV
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hast formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. -Psalm 90:2, KJV
