Wake Up Call

I enjoy my Saturday morning cup of coffee. And then later, I enjoy my Saturday afternoon glass of leftover iced coffee. I like coffee. Sometimes, (ok, more than just sometimes) I need coffee. It’s like a wake up call. It revives me, and gets me moving, thinking, doing. Sometimes, (ok, more than just sometimes) we need spiritual coffee; a spiritual wake up call. Something to revive us, to get us moving, thinking, doing things for the cause of Christ. How do you revive yourself spiritually? Maybe your revival is hearing a good Christian song. Maybe it’s praying, or being around Christian people. Whatever it is, have you been doing it lately? Or do you long to feel close to the Lord again, and on fire for Him?

He restoreth my soul: He leaders me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. -Psalm 23:3

Thanks for reading! What kind of coffee do you like? Or can you not stand the stuff? What revives you spiritually? Comment below! I love hearing from you. God bless y’all, BibleBloggerGirl

I hate all things coffee! Reading the Bible and church are probably the two things that spiritually pick me up.

This reminds me of my friend who goes to a small Christian school in Wyoming! She’s always talking about her love of coffee! Haha.

For me, what gets me up in the morning is my relationship with my girlfriend. I always try to wake up so that I can text her before she gets to school, and so that I have enough time to pray for her before starting my day. It’s a mixture of God and girlfriend 🙂

I love mocha, but I’ve been wanting to try hazelnut. I agree, we definitely need more awakening in our spiritual walk, and in our heart 🙂

Returning to His word always works for me. It never ceases to amaze me that God has new revelations every time I read His word

  5. Old school DC Talk revives my soul. Seeing people get baptized revives my soul. Seeing how the participles function in the syntax of a Greek sentence revives my soul. Seeing Hebrew parallelism revives my soul. And going for a nice long run revives my soul.

I enjoy my coffee without cream or sugar (95% of the time). I like almost all brews, and if I can get a special roasted bean mix, then I savor it a little bit.
